 En route I'm carrying kit in order to rough camp and to service and maintain my bike. I'll also have medical supplies in case of illness or injury and a few luxury items. I'll add the odd photo and some details of cost and supplier over the next few weeks. I’ll also add performance reports in order to assist anyone else planning their own cycle tour. I dont carry everthing with me. For example I need more clothes for cycling through the European winter but for this stretch I wont need the water filter or Shimano sandals. I will swap kit at different points en route. The total weight of the bike is around 20 kg and the gear comes to around 30 kg.
